The outcome of a partnership between Embraer and the Chinese government and customers, the Beijing office was opened in May 2000. This partnership intensified thereafter, with emphasis on the construction of a Spare Part Distribution Center at the Beijing International Airport, which was inaugurated in March 2002.
On the day Embraer celebrated its seventh anniversary operating in that country, new facilities were inaugurated at the China Central Place Office Building, the new region of the Central Business District, east of the capital city's downtown area.
