Aircraft Refurbishment

Since 2008, Embraer has been contributing to preserve its historical heritage by refurbishing aircraft that marked its history.

The project got underway with the refurbishment of the second prototype of the Bandeirante, the first aircraft ever built by Embraer, to celebrate the fortieth anniversary of its debut flight. In 2009, as part of the actions prepared to celebrate Embraer's 40th anniversary, through a partnership with the National Industrial Learning Service (SENAI), the only two prototypes of the CBA 123, an aircraft designed in the early 1990's, and the prototype of the EMB 121 Xingu (prefix PT-ZXI), the first pressurized airplane manufactured by Embraer, were renovated.

The purpose of this project is to steadily expand the number of refurbished aircraft. To achieve this, we have already started the renovation process for other historic aircraft. Check out details of this work below.
